~Olde Sturbridge Salem~
~Pumpkin Doll~

An adorable 11” folkart punch needle & fabric doll.
A blustery and cold late September wind swirled chimney smoke past the thick glass windows as heavy clouds rolled in & the sun disappeared over the mountains. Inside Salem Tavern, hot buttered rum simmered & mulled cider brewed as Olde Sturbridge, the tavern-keeper, busied himself preparing for the evening ahead. He moved a few tables & benches closer to the fire, swept the weathered olde floor, lit the brass lanterns and raked the coals under the pot of chicken & dumplings cooking over the open fire. He unlocked the door, tossed his tavern cloth over his left shoulder and stepped behind the massive counter ready to greet his patrons and friends. ~ doreen frost

I am SO pleased to finally be releasing this fellow to you.  I had hoped to do this sooner but alas, life tends to get in the way now and again.  At any rate...HERE HE IS.

His pattern is a long one....full of VERY detailed directions and 10 full color, in progress and finished photo's. When finished you will have a sweet and dapper fellow just like you see in the photo's. :)

**Pattern is eighteen pages when printed.  Fifteen pages of instruction, with full color photo's plus three pages of templates.

I have a limited number of FULL KITS available.

You will first punch his sweet pumpkin head using Valdani Perle Cotton thread.  Then you stuff his head with wool batting and add a German glass eye. Then you will move on to creating his body from quilt shop cotton.  He is then stuffed with fine sawdust & a bit of wool batting and dressed in humble weavers cloth and flannel.  You will add a bit of vintage silk ribbon about his neck and place a vintage skeleton key in his hand :)
