Another wonderful little cat, keepsake box. The oval paper-mache box has been covered with gorgeous green, cream, and black reproduction fabric and has been aged and sanded. The inside of the box has been painted and waxed. Atop the box (affixed with just a bit of glue inside the upturned cover) is a wonderful little fabric cat made from a vintage lithograph image. She is stuffed with wool roving and has been aged and sanded. **just look at her little back..oh my goodness, these cats are adorable** Along with the wee cat is a tiny hand-dyed velvet strawberry, stuffed with wool roving and topped with hand-dyed wool leaf. Both the cat and the strawberry are nestled among a lovely bed of flax. The entire piece measures 4 1/2"(long) x 3" (wide) x 6 1/2" tall.
The sweet little cat has been made using a pattern by Cinnamon Creek. :).
