Sir Salem measures 10" tall (12" to the tip of his paper hat) and is made from sparse black mohair, has hand-dyed velvet paw and foot pads, and is stuffed with a combination of sawdust, excelsior, and glass beads to give him a nice, slouchy olde feel. I have heavily aged him to appear well-loved and worn. I adore his long nose..don't you? He wears an aged paper collar and hat, a vintage aged ribbon, and my signature wooden hang tag with aged script paper on one side and an image of an October moon on the other. He also wears his heart on his sleeve (a sweet little wool heart I have stitched on his upper arm). He is accompanied by three wee pumpkins ~ one I have made from spun cotton (my new favorite thing) and the other two I have needle felted. I've added grapevine twigs for stems on two of the pumpkins (the other has a needle felted stem).
