I have ALWAYS wanted to create necklaces! When I started needle felting these lovely hearts, it was actually just for the simple joy of needle felting, which I love. I had no intention of doing anything special with them, however, as I was working along on something else, and these were nearby, I looked over at them and the idea just popped into my head....necklaces!!! I can't tell you how often that happens to me. One thing always seems to lead to something else :).
This particular tiny needle felted heart is tucked safely inside a lovely brass locket along with a small bit of aged paper and a lovely heart token quote. It is strung (hung??) on a 17" length of vintage black silk ribbon. It's tied the end and given it a coat of wax to keep it from fraying.
