I just LOVE these guys!!!  I am including the story I wrote for the pumpkin folke with this listing as they are the turkeys I speak of in that story :)

Deep in the mossy wood sits an olde cabin covered in pumpkin vines.   Over the years, many people wandered past the old place, smelling woodsmoke and herbs, yet never realizing a house was beneath the great heap of pumpkins and vines.  Great Oak tree's. loaded with acorns, surround the pumpkin vines, and turkeys can always be found nearby.   After dark, however, the place looks completely different.  Yellow light, from the windows not seen during the day, shines warmly and there, between two windows stands an old stone step below a creaky wooden door with an iron handle.  Inside lives an herbal woman, wearing a tattered and patched knit sweater and an apron, with a pot of harvest stew simmering over the fire, and a mug of steaming tea on the candle-lit table.  Strings of dried pumpkin hang from the wooden beams, and glass jars filled with dried pumpkin seeds line the shelves.  On the windowsills sit pots of herbs and several large jack~O~lanterns.  At the olde wooden table in the center of the room sits her grandson, carving pumpkins, sipping mulled cider and nibbling on ginger biscuits.  Doreen Frost (fyi ~ our grandson is here today and he helped me write this story and wanted to be added to it :)

*Each turkey is entirely hand made by me using the old world method of creating spun cotton.  Each turkey begins with a paper clay armature and then I add layers and layers and, oh yes, more layers of cotton.  Did I mention I adore them.    They take quite a bit of time, which is why they are on the pricey side.   Each one is hand painted and aged for a time worn, antique look.

JASPER  ~ Is free standing on wire and spun cotton legs.  The legs are slightly moveable.  Jasper sits atop a piece of old barn beam.  I have not mounted him on the beam which will allow you to place him elsewhere, should you so choose.   He wears a spun cotton top hat, that is tied with antique silver wire and a vintage copper ribbon scarf.  Jasper measures approximately 5" x 6" on his own.  His wooden block beam measures 3 1/2' x 3 1/2".  Total height on beam ~ 9 1/2"

COOPER~ Is free standing on wire and spun cotton legs.  The legs are slightly moveable.  Cooper sits atop a piece of old barn beam.  I have not mounted him on the beam which will allow you to place him elsewhere, should you so choose.   He wears a spun cotton top hat, that is tied with antique silver wire and a vintage copper ribbon scarf.  COOPER measures just under 4" x 5" on his own.  His wooden block beam measures 3" x 3 1/2".  Total height on beam ~ 8"
