Mr. Sanderson
Mr. Sanderson woke early and sat by a small fire sipping peppermint tea and nibbling on a blueberry and walnut scone that he had made late yesterday afternoon. When his breakfast was finished, he tidied his little home, packed a bit of food, banked the fire, donned his satchel and made his way to the meadow, He laid a blanket on the ground and took out his book of poetry and spent the next few hours lost in his book. When the warm sun was high in the sky he unpacked a bit of cheese, an apple and cold mulberry tea and enjoyed his lunch in the warm sunshine. Doreen Frost.
This hand stitched wool applique' pocket is made of a muted yellow plaid with notes of green, tan and cream. On the front of the pocket, I have stitched a dapper crow (Mr. Sanderson) in tones of black with smart Indigo pants, collar and scarf. He holds, for his sweetheart beautiful golden sunflower. On th etop and bottom of the pocket I have stitched half pennies in a mossy green and rich golden brown.
The pocket measures 6 1/2" x 26".
